Always get the impression my pdoc is disappointed in me

Like he thinks I am not trying hard enough. Seems to be very little sympathy

Mine is a gentle old man. I like him.
I have found the right one.
But he is close to retirement.

I don’t think your pdoc is disappointed in you at all. I have been to about five pdocs now and they have all been poker faced and show very little emotion. I think they are trained that way so as not to be manipulated by some of their clients as would be the case if their facial expressions were too easily read. I think you are just being hard on yourself again @anon94176359.

I don’t think it is about how hard you are trying @anon94176359. You do not really get to choose if you have good mental health or not, it can just happen to all of us.

Most people are taught to treat everyone equal. I doubt you are missing out on anything. Just the way he is.

The last psych appointment I had was the first one I’d had since moving here and coming under a new trust . The pdoc was amiable without being over friendly .

At my old address I had less than good reputation with the pdocs etc. If one pdoc takes a dislike to you it 's in your notes by the comments they make , and other pdocs fall in line with that thinking.

I’ve been treated much better since I’ve been here .
