All Right. Some Cats Do Fetch

We have a stick with a long string on the end. Calliope likes to chase the string. If we’re not playing with her, she will bring the stick over to us and set it down next to us to make sure we get the hint that we need to let her chase it. When we’re done, she puts it away next to her bed.

I know someone who had a cat that did that. It was pretty funny to watch.

One of my cats like toilet paper rolls. She bats them all around the hall. Throw one and she will go after it.

I had a cat that fetched tops to 16 Oz bottled sodas. It was hilarious!

Both of my cats fetch. One brings the toy to me and drops in into my hand. They are a riot.

Yeah, but can they bark and chase cars?

If you are looking for a breed of cat that is most like a dog in behaviour then you can’t go past the Devon Rex. We had two when I was married, Rupert and Donald. They look like little aliens with their pointy ears and curly coats, but they have so much personality.

Cats can be hella smart but as an apex predator they like the life of luxury. You can train cats. They do it for movies but most cats live the life of Riley. They are a species that domesticated themselves. We had to breed dogs to like humans and accept us as leaders…

Cats. They just moved in!

My cat would fetch hair ties and bring them back when he was young (around 1-3 yrs old, he’s 12 now)

I really want a house cat. I work during the day, so I was thinking of getting two kittens that can play with each other.

I am only worried about them ruining my furniture and costing a lot in vet bills that I cannot afford. I don’t know what to do. I’d like the company.

I would recommend getting a cat for sure. Just make sure you clip their nails short and your furniture will be fine. We had leather sofas and never had a problem.
