Taking a trip down memory lane. When I moved a year ago I had to get rid of some of my belongings. I had a set of children’s books from over 40 years ago when I was 7 or 8 years old from a book club that my mom had enrolled me and my sisters in. I had to get rid of them so to say a last good bye to them, I read several of them. Oh man, they triggered some really great memories. I read my favorite kids book, Robin Hood, I read that book at least 40 times when I was a kid. I read Arabian Knights, and a few others. It made me sad to have to get rid of them but at least I got good use out of them.
I still have the 1001 Nights book that my parents used to read me.
It’s good to have stuff from your childhood.
Ali Baba and the 40 thieves rent a room from me in the attic.
I have to share a room with Robinson Caruso.
Huckleberry Finn over here. I was always slightly proletarian
i still have an original Pinnochio book… its much more interesting than the disney version too it was great at 12 when i read it
That’s too bad Sarad. Maybe the doctor can give you something for that.
In the original Cinderella story her evil sisters had cut their legs to fit a glass shoe.
Pinnochio killed jimminy the cricket with a hammer in the original
Lol lol its such a shame we only got this cheesy super light version
i agree. Disney are a strange group… cutting some scenes and adding other stuff thats worse subliminally
One of biggest Chinese IT company named alibaba. I think it has relation with “Alibaba and the forty thieves”.
in case youre thinking im buggin. this is actually a real life theory of questionable Disney movies
I did a paper for my marketing class 10 years ago about Disney’s subliminal messages.
Scotty is true Rock N Roll i aint pullin any wierd ■■■■
id be interested in reading your thoughts on the subject @Minnii … marketing class? was that high school or college? i thought you were in your 20s…
never mind… not trying to finagle your age
It was in high school. I did a professional course in graphic design.
Idk, maybe there are, I was way more into the subject back then. Right now I don’t see the point, unless they wanted to sell to the parents, which doesn’t make sense because disney is more of a self selling brand.
I’m 29
i think the sex sells to kids on a subconcsious level is the reason. or disney apparently believed such
