Books were so magical

I really loved to read. Through most of high school I used to read in my bed every night before I went to sleep. I literally was reading four books at a time, I kept my books next to my bed and read out of each one of them before going to sleep. I stopped reading about 3 months after I got diagnosed. Books were like food and water to me. I craved them. I liked sports like football and baseball and basketball but I liked reading more. Books were a big part of who I was. Never would have guessed I would basically give them up. It’s unbelievable.

Have you considered listening to audio books?

Yeah hearing that. I did the same. I’ve started again though and making progress. Even bought a kindle and read every night. It’s never too late to try again. It really is a good way to pass some time…

I was the same, and now I can’t read books.

I listen to audiobooks now occasionally, as @Moonbeam suggested.

Same here. What are you reading at the moment?

About Kronstadt rebellion.

Warrant for Genocide, by Norman Cohn. It’s an incredible work that looks at the development and impact of antisemitic texts like the Protocols. What do you think of Trotsky crushing down the second Krondstat rebellion?

I think it was a fascist behaviour.
Sailors of Kronstadt wanted freedom,
free press, democracy, bread,
new elections of Soviet etc.
