I suffered for over a month with only slight improvement lowering the dose of my abilify. I couldnt sit still for more than a few moments and had constant panic attacks over it. Then i read online a side effect of akathisia is suicidal thoughts just over how bad it is. I’m on seroquel and its gone away but that was worst than any psychotic episode i’ve had.

That sucks. I take benztropine for side effects of Haldol. It helps me a lot. Akithisia is truly awful

I take propranolol and it works very well for me

I had it horrible for a while on haldol, until they gave me propranolol to fix it.
I was on Flupentixol and that’s the worst I’ve ever had it. That being said it was a good drug. Was prescribed pronanolol and it went away
I had akathisia on Latuda and it caused me extreme delusional paranoia.
I’m on 10mg abilify now for 4 days I think. Just woke up from a nap and laying down watching a tyler perry movie.
Everyone reacts different I guess :o but yeah akathisia is scary, i’ve read about it.
I agree in that akatesia is a terrible side effect. I had it for one month because I abruptly quit an antipsychotic cold turkey 7 month ago. I’m of that terrible meds now but I roamed the streets for one month restless al the time.
