Akathisia driving me nuts

I have akathisia for at least three years. I walk everyday at least 10k+ steps. I don’t know how to stop this. I told my pdoc and she prescribed me an anti Parkinson’s med which doesn’t help me. I don’t think i have meds for akathisia here. So i keep walking :frowning:

What meds have you tried for it

Romparkin i think it’s called if i remember well in my country

Have you ever tried propranolol?
It works very well.

No I don’t think we have it here where I am otherwise my pdoc would have put me on it or maybe other meds for this but we don’t have any here. That med i told you it’s anti Parkinson’s for hands shaking and it’s not helping me.

I take magnesium, 500-1000mg. I started taking it for the RLS, but it really helps me with the akathisia as well.

Yeah when I was on latuda I had severe akathisia.
Propranolol was the only thing that helped.
Sorry you have to go through this, I know it isn’t fun.

Oh friend, I’ve had that before and it SUCKS. I’m sorry you’re going through that. That’s honestly one of my least favorite side effects.
