so I’ve found online a coffee table set that i really like for $200 dollars. only problem is i only have $228 dollars left in the bank to last the rest of the month. i also have a big bowl of change, with probably $150-$200 dollars worth of change. im thinking about going ahead and buying the coffee table set and taking my change to the grocery to cash in to get me to payday. should i buy the coffee table set, or play it safe? i was hoping to get something nice for myself for Christmas.
This is honestly the best advice, I have heard it before and have been using it for years now. If you can’t decide between 2 things just do heads for one outcome and tails for the other.
If you land on one you don’t like then choose the other outcome, it’s the easiest way to determine if you should do something.
What do you have to pay for? If it’s just food, I would think more along the lines of buying it. That’s if $118 is enough groceries for a week for you. It would do for me.
I would say to find out exactly how much you have in your change bowl before making the decision. Then sit down and make a list of your projected expenses for the rest of the month. If you have enough leftover, go for it!
But( make sure you know and trust the company selling the set. I’ve been burned before with buying furniture online, and then getting it and being seriously disappointed. I only buy furniture from in person stores now.
live la vida loca, get the tables - you can eat what’s in the pantry. You can eat ramen with an egg in it and some frozen mixed veggies for the rest of the month for pennies. Come on, you know you want to get it.
haha. i just spent like an hour separating the quarters and then counting them. i had $202.50 worth of quarters. i think im going to go ahead and cash out my change and get the coffee tables. to hell with democracy. haha
