Advice for being homeless?

Looks like I’m gonna be homeless again. I can’t realistically afford an apartment I qualify for because the qualifications even for a cheap ass studio are ridiculous and I’m too disabled to afford life. I made a few wrong decisions financially but this is absolutely not fair. I’m looking into trading in my car for a utility van, maybe getting a generator and a portable AC of sorts of they make that. I don’t know.

I have no hope of financial help and also I don’t qualify for any apartments because of my credit score and I had a utility in collections. Would a utility van work? That’s probably all I can afford with trading in my car

Can you get professional advice? There must be agencies that can help you with advice.

i see hmm… maybe you can find a room for rent that doesnt do credit checks etc on facebook marketplace. honestly my advice would be to avoid homelessness at all costs because it affects sleep. If you have no choice tho, id say atleast see if theres some kind of lot you can rent for a couple bucks a month to park your vehicle. A safe spot is crucial. besides the van thats your number 2 priority id say.

Can you rent a room instead of a whole apartment?

if you get a utility van id suggest getting one of the taller ones so you can stand up in it.
like one of these… and ill say it again cause i cant stress it enough… i been in situations where i was like kinda broke and so it was kinda like a planned homlessness. like i could maybe work out getting a place but i figured hey maybe ill save money by not having to pay rent etc. and life will be easier. but i learned that its best to have a place at all costs. The main reason is, i never felt safe and therefore couldnt sleep a wink. not to dicourage you just giving honest advice. You got this! Im sure youll figure it out before then <3

I only make $1030 in SSDI and I guess I could afford a room but I’m not willing to part with my animals

I would not live out of a van. You should find a room mate imo

All of the roommates I have had have trashed my house in some way

The last one was disabled and did not tell me he had fecal incontinence severely and could not clean it himself

I told his ■■■■■■■ case worker to take him back to a nursing home

It’s ok I cried and had an anxiety attack enough. I’m just gonna man up and ■■■■■■■ deal with it. It’s not the end of the world

I know but living out of a van seems like it would be stressful which is last thing you need for sz

Everything is stressful all the god damn time.

Fair, you do what you gotta do
