The 100mg to 150mg of Seroquel would probably be better to tolerate but I don’t think that is equilalent to 10mg Abilify. Would Seroquel keep you stable at that dose?

I know nothing about software development, but it seemed to me that abilify amped me up, and seroquel mildly sedates me. I take 400 X 2 daily of seroquel, and I can barely tell I’m taking it. Some people don’t have this experience with this drug, though. I’ve come across people who seroquel sedated them so much it caused problems for them. I don’t remember how much abilify I was taking, but it amped me up. I started sleeping less and exercising more. I got substantially stronger. Personally, the only skills I have to extrapolate from are very modest math skills. (I went up through first year calculus.) For my math skills to be better I would choose seroquel. When I am too amped up, like I am on abilify, I have trouble with math.

I took 200mg of seroquel and 200 mg of amisulpride and iwas stable

I went bananas on 300mg of seroquel, I’m stable on 10mg abilify. That’s my experience.

Yes it’s sedating but I think that feeling lessons the longer you take it and your body adjusts.

I have a tendency to go berserk and yell out, so sedating is good for me and gives me a comfy stable feeling and shuts me up from rambling.

When I take less, I feel more energy but then slowly get more psycho so it’s always a balancing act to take enough but not so much that you can’t work full time.
If you don’t work, it helps a lot in going to sleep but makes it harder to wake up on time.

Since you plan on working, I would try Abilify first - Seroquel can be very sedating

150 mg of seroquel is similiar to placebo? I’ve got decreased abilify from 15 to 7,5 because it stimulated me too much. Is there any researching about seroquel compared to placebo with side effects?

I may try seroquel. Abilify is horribly stimulating for me. Makes me feel like I’ve constantly been drinking energy drinks. Also has been of no help with my positive symptoms as of yet.

I was on both, Abilify and Seroquel at different times.

I liked Seroquel, it basically put me to sleep and was great for calming my anxiety.

Abilify on the other hand was way too stimulating and worsened my paranoia.

It induced psychosis.

Iv’e also been on both indeopendently!

I’m not sure if 150mg of seroquel is a theraputic doseage? But Iv’e just read that they often start with that and titrate the dosage as required. I was on 600mg and they dropped it to 400mg without titrating (lazy pdoc’s)!

I had to come off Abillify as I reacted badley to it, but I was better on it to begin with +
I wasn’t constantly thursty like on Seroquel.

Abilify was horrible for me, lots of bad side-effects, but it can be a good med if it works for you since it’s not very sedating and can actually give you more energy.

Seraquel is sedating and is not good for people with diabetes.

Abilify made me restless and didn’t really work even at a high dose and seroquel knocked me out completely and gave me sleep apnea. But thats just my experience…different for everyone.good luck finding the right thing to help with your study.
