Abilify side effects?

Hey started Abilify a week ago. Over the last few days I gotten nausea and constipation. My lower abdomen hurts after eating sometimes.

Is this probably a side effect that should go away in time?

I’ve never heard of those side effects. I certainly didn’t have them. I’d get advice from your psychiatrist.

Apparently nausea is a common side effect
So is constipation
After Google searches that is

Says it should diminish between days and some weeks , but I’m just paranoid

I guess they aren’t severe for now so I shouldn’t freak out

I’ll only see doctor again on the 4th of June

Akathisia or restlessness was a major one for me.

Your mileage may vary, though.

Me too, I couldn’t sleep. I was on the injections

I’ve been on aripiprazole, be it the Abilify tablets or the injections, for about 13 years, and the only side effect I have noticed is that I am much more impulsive when it comes to purchases. Hell, my spending can be downright reckless at times. It’s been more of a problem for me since I start making/having more money.

I had sleep issues, but after replacing cigarettes with vapes - that’s fine now. Akithisa was an issue when I first started but it went away, at the dose I’m currently on - it’s rarely an issue.

Impulsivity like freakonaleash mentioned is also a problem for me. Regardless of the dose - I’ll be unable to control it often.
