Both medications are causing alot of cognitive drag. I learned that term on this forum. Lol. But anyhoo. I think maybe I’ve lost intelligence too. Since my relapse. I have some brain damage and I’m on two heavy antipsychotics for now.
For example. I’m in the elevator of my apartment building and Phil step in to the elevator and I’m carrying my cd stand up to my apartment from my car in the parkade. I just bought it today off of Kijiji
So yeah. Phil say oh what’s that garbled? I said it’s a cd stand.
“Oh are you a music lover”
“Umm” pause pause cognitive drag no answer
“Do you like blues or contemporary”
“Umm” pause pause loss of intelligence. I don’t know what contemporary is I’ve been In psychosis for years
“Rap maybe”
Click finally a response. I know that one. " No not rap any thing but rap"
Then I get a friendly smile and a chuckle and a slight compassionate touch on the arm
My intuitive observation tells me that his conclusion is that I am dumb or have a brain injury. Lol

Is this what I have to do to get on Abilify? These drugs will make you really stupid
Hopefully Abilify monotherapy will make me a little faster. But if I’ve lost intelligence. I guess I’m crap out of luck. Lol
Abilify starts off feeling like you’re dumber but after awhile you realise you’re not. You just have to adjust to a different approach of thinking, cant quite explain it.
I read fine. I do calculations fine. And i can play video games fine too (,but im slow on the learning)
I can relate to the stupidity that sntipsychotics cause after all I’m on 500 mgs Clopixol LAI every 3 week and 750 qutiapine by mouth. But my stupidity doesn’t plaque me rater my avolation apathy towards my meds.
Gambled I think Abilify will make you really highfunctioning. It never advicebly to recommend a young person to not go on antipsychotics. When I look years back I realize that I’ve become a lot more clever than I was before. The antipsychotics made it possible to quit the bottle and learn english that was understandebly enoght. The money I saved by not drinking I saved up in 2 life rents and two pensions. Besides of that I learned OOP(object oriented programming) so that I know all there is to know about classes and inheritance. I use two Pythons IDE on my ipad for programming namely Pythonista and Pyto. I’m also experienting with Lua IDE (Codea a game engine).
Please remember that I hadn’t been alife today without antipsychotics.
I’ll recomment you to take abilify as soon as possible bacause that it’s one of the best cognitive enhancers on the market and often doesn’t cause side effects and negative symptoms.
