You’re right, @Pinkbarbie23, I am stretching things a bit by saying it made me crazy… What his shouting did do was stun me and making me feel I didn’t know anything.

Seriously, would you rather your childhood was like the Cosby Show? I wouldn’t have wished that for myself. My rough childhood prepared me well for a rough world. I know when to stand my ground and fight and when to cut my losses and run. A gentle childhood wouldn’t have prepared me.

My childhood screwed me up.
My dad’s version of spanking was slamming me in the jaw. It hurt for awhile, but he was only 5’7" I outgrew him by 7th grade. I laughed one time when he tried to hit me and I caught his fist. He never tried it again. He was a mean ba$tard, but I guess that is how he was raised.
