A Poem: Maybe

Maybe if I had things
That made other people happy,
People would think I was
Happy.

I really like this one.

Do you collect these and have them stored somewhere? Put the best ones together and approach a poet publisher. Name it ‘The musings and contemplations of a schizophrenic poet’.

I think you’d be surprised at the response. I think it would be met with wonder.

Thanks for the kind words. No I don’t collect them, disposable poems!

Ahh, but they are here on this site for safekeeping, until you anonymize yourself anyway.

Use your computer, search for all your poems. copy and paste. Collate and look and select the best 50. Email a publisher.

A few hours of your time and could get you a paycheck.

What is there to lose except a few hours in a day or two? Something to do with a day too…

I’d do it for you, but you have direct access to everything you post and I would have to sort through all the other “A poem:” of which I just looked and there are loads of other people.

Thanks very much for the ideas. But honestly, the poems are disposable for me. I don’t have any desire to get them published.

That’s the most American poem you’ve ever written.

Fill the hole inside up with meaningless trinkets to show up your neighbors meaningless trinkets.

That’s the capitalism pitch and way.

Good one dude!
