You are the sunrise,
Bringing warmth and light into my day.

Refreshing my mind and bringing me energy.
You are my motivation
To do and be my very best,
To try to survive during the hardest times,
Because I know if I don’t,
I won’t get to see your beautiful eyes again,
Or hear your magnificent laugh:
The one that makes my heart flutter.
You are my happiness.

I don’t know if this counts as a poem, but I didn’t know what else to call it.
It’s about the sun?
No, it’s about a person. They bring me so much happiness, and in the past whenever I was suicidal, they were one of the things keeping me alive.

Keep writing, and maybe go for greater length when you’re inspired

Thank you. I actually really enjoy writing, but I often don’t have the motivation to finish whatever I’m writing.
I’m currently writing a short story. It’s already over 14 pages long.
