A Nice Tim Horton's Story Today

I went through the Tim Horton’s drive-thru today and ordered a large coffee at the speaker. When I got to the window, I realized I had left my wallet at home at told the East Indian Lady cashier that I couldn’t accept the coffee as i had no money on me.

She said, “Hang on”…and handed me the coffee anyways. I told her I would return.

I did a few hours later with my 2 dollars and I added a $5.00 Lotto Max lottery ticket, which I gave to her with her name on it. She just blushed and giggled and said ‘thank you’.

We filled each other’s buckets today. Two strangers doing a kind deed to each other. But she started it.

It’s a nice story as it is. It will be an incredible story should she win the 50 million dollar Jackpot this Friday.

I’m rooting for her!! :sunny:

Funny,…

I ran this story by my wife when she got home from work. She said there was no need for me to do that. I told her I believed in Karma…that the good we do today comes back in spades to us tomorrow.

Besides, I was floored when that lovely lady gave me a free coffee without even batting an eyelash. It really made my day! :sunny:

got to love those East Indian cashiers. nah, just kidding. I don’t even know their ethnicities. I avoid eye contact. I just hear their voice and watch their hands. guess some would say I’m preparing for the overdue machines to replace them.

Yes, most people are good…as long as you don’t catch them at the wrong time. I have a 7-11 store next door to where I live. I go there practically every day, sometimes three times in one day. I’ve been going there a year and a half and I used to buy sodas there two or three times a day until I realized that I was spending $2.25 on a 24 oz coke a couple of times a day, when I can just go to Walgreens and get a whole 2-liter bottle of soda for 99 cents.

So I rarely buy sodas at 7-11 but I go there for ice. I’ve been seeing the cashiers for a year now, and we are on good terms. So they give me large cups of ice for free instead of charging me 50 cents. So I save a buck a day. They can’t do it when the manager is there but any time he’s not there its free. If they didn’t like me they would not be doing it. And besides that, they are real friendly. A couple of times I go to buy something and i realize I forgot my wallet and they will just let me have the chips or whatever for free. I try to remember to pay them back but they really don’t care if I do or not.
