A lot of my clothes don't fit anymore

Gone are the days of being a size 8

I should just throw them away

But maybe I’ll lose weight?

I became much happier after donating all my smaller clothes and getting clothes in my actual size. Seeing the smaller clothes just kept making me miserable about not being the size I used to me. Having cute clothes that fit makes me feel more confident and handsome.

I used to be super skinny in 20s and 30s
Now I’ve been overweight for a good few Years
Right now I’m trying watching weight but only staying stable not loosing or gaining right now
I used to have a completely flat stomach but now it’s fat

My clothes are old anyway

They don’t like you donating old stuff

Sometimes if it doesn’t pass they throw it in their dumpster

I rarely buy for myself

Some places have clothing recycling I’ve heard. Domestic violence shelters might take your clothes.

i was a size four and even on meds i stayed thin until i got married and had a baby. the marriage was so lousy i refused to lose the weight after.

and it has stuck with me ever since.

i think i just am going to try harder to get fit and in shape now.

good luck to all my friends here who are in the same boat!!

cheers!! judy

I never gained weight with either of my pregnancies but both my babies were healthy. I think this eating for two thing is a myth. Food does however taste better during pregnancy.

I used to say “maybe I’ll lose weight” over and over again in the past and sometimes I lost a little but over time I just got bigger. So when I gain I change clothes. I don’t feel like I can control it any more and I could care less about romantic possibilities any more because at my age most people who are as old as me are either no longer sexy or have done something extreme to stay that way. So as long as my teeth hold up and somebody is willing to pay for it pass the steak, load up the potato, and let’s eat a nice dessert.

I didn’t gain much during two pregnancies and lost the weight afterwards. Now on meds I’ve gained 60lbs!

Yep. Me too. Meds have caused weight gain for me I guess bc they fire up my appetite.
But my first pregnancy I gained little to no weight and my second pregnancy I lost 30 lbs. I had diabetes and had to watch everything’ I ate

Isn’t is crazy @Loke?!

Yep. I miss my pretty skinny days.

Yeah, my first pregnancy I didn’t gain any weight and my last I actually lost 20lbs due to extreme morning sickness (baby LED was almost 11lbs, perfectly healthy). But these meds have caused me to gain over 100lbs!

Me, too.

@LED
That morning sickness sounds awful! 11lbs is a BIG baby! So so glad little one was healthy! I was sick through my first pregnancy the whole time. 100lbs? I’be gained 60lbs. I keep buying more clothes! Do you spend a lot of money on clothes gaining weight so much?

Not really. I was on saphris and gained 100lbs in 6 months. That was about 7 years ago. I gained some weight during Little LED’s first year from just not having the energy to cook and eating out too often, but I’ve stayed pretty steady since then.

That’s great you’ve stayed the same! I keep gaining! 60lbs since October!
