A few questions... )

In my ward where i go to the hospital, severly delusional people are staying separated upstairs ansd the medical team dont allow them to walk free among other patients.

Are these people dangerous? Are you scared of them? Do you think highly delusional people should be locked in other medical buildings far away? If someone would ask me, my asnwer is Yes to all three questions.

Well no not necessarily, we had institutionalization and that clearly was a bad idea. I think they could get the help they need if they are put on specialist wards though.

We aren’t dangerous. Ppl need to stop treating us like rabid dogs wanting to lock us in cages all the time.

I’ll tell you, a couple times when I’ve been in hospitals and I’ve had to put up with loud, obnoxious, delusional people I’ve been at my wits end and wanting to sock them right in their face. If someone is being disruptive, by all means, put them on a special ward. You have a lot of people crammed into a small area that don’t feel good and you have to consider all of their feelings. One person, running around screaming about how they are Jesus and they are there to save you can wreck it up for the other 20 people.

I think some of them can be problematic, but not dangerous. In psych wards everyone is so much medicated, sometimes too much medicated. It’s really dificult to be dangerous when they are given so much medications.
