A Covid question

I was just told that I’d be free to leave my room within 48 hours provided my temperature remains below 37.5. Does this seem right to you? I have been confined since Monday last week, but only tested positive 2 days later on Wednesday. I would rather err on the side of caution on this one, even a normal flu can be lethal to the elderly.

Here are the current CDC quarantine guidelines for the U.S. While there are some potential options to shorten quarantine time as described on the CDC website –

“CDC continues to endorse quarantine for 14 days and recognizes that any quarantine shorter than 14 days balances reduced burden against a small possibility of spreading the virus.”
