A booster shot before vaccine wears off? (3 months)

I am worried something will happen in three months. I kept hearing three months. So in three months it would be December 22nd 2021. I have had repeating nightmares since around 2014-2019. My parents told me not to tell people about the nightmares because its dangerous to talk about political stuff.

They are just nightmares and they dont always come true. I had a dream once my boyfriend was cutting down trees and a tree fell down and almost crushed him–In the dream I became the wind so that the tree wouldn’t fall on him and kill him. He told me that he was cutting down trees in his yard days or a week later, and a tree did almost fall on him that he was really close. I had dreams about a lot of political related stuff.

People have told me that Im very intuitive and aware. That I can use that sort of thing as a Gift. I dont think its related at all to the schizophrenia. I think intuition helps me to combat schizophrenia, to me schizophrenia is something neurological that I inherited…its nothing to do with what I believe or dont believe.

So I’m debating getting a booster shot. Because another thing is the vaccine wears off in three months. My doctor called me and said she wouldn’t recommend getting another dose of the vaccine until december when it wears off. But if its completely worn off in december, and Im in a state thats red alert for covid, wouldnt it make more sense to get a booster shot so I have lasted protection?

My GP didn’t recommend it. They’re now saying the Pfizer vaccine lasts 8 months. But my relatives said they went to the pharmacy and all got a third dose so they could travel overseas confidently. They all seemed fine…no one seemed adversely effected…

Im thinking about doing that because I plan to travel across states and to a densely populated city; so I think I will go to the pharmacy and get one because of the new variants and delta is serious.

Scientists dont actually know how long the vaccine lasts. New variants could emerge. I think maybe actually more people should follow what my fam. members are starting to do…the only thing is when I was in the hospital I was told I have low white blood cells…that means Im immunocompromised so I will have to say that to get the vaccine.

Hmm. . .

I Sometimes Wonder If There Is Trickery Within The Halls Of The Official Medical Industry.

What If, Booster Shots Were For Those Who Have Yet To Fully Mature Psychologically?.

Metaphorically Speaking In Wise Symbolism Of Course.

I Jus Don’t Understand At Best.

Im about to get a booster shot…not sure what to expect…I hope it will protect me against the variants. I have read the Israel studies suggested to be giving out booster shots reduced the amount of hospitalizations.

The Pfizer boosters have not yet been approved in the U.S.

The advisory committee recommended Pfizer boosters in the U.S. at 6 months after the 2nd Pfizer vaccination for those 65 and older and for those with underlying health conditions.

The CDC Panel is meeting this week.

There’s no boosters, as @Moonbeam pointed out. So not sure where you’d get a third shot.

I contracted COVID, pretty sure because my daughter was positive, and it was mild thanks to being vaxxed already.

@anon4362788 I’m glad to hear your covid symptoms were mild. That really highlights why covid vaccinations are so important.

I am ready for them to approve a booster shot. It’s been about 5 months since I received 2nd Pfizer jab and the effectiveness of the vaccine will be starting to go down on my shots soon. I would get it if they approved one. I doubt I will be put in the high risk category though, even though I have diabetes. So, will probably end up having little protection and will likely end up with covid-19 sooner or later.

I had my first two Pfizer Covid vaccines in January and February 2021 at a VA hospital. So far, I haven’t heard anything about a booster.

What kind of symptoms? I’m double vaxxed but I just got a sore throat, mega headache. For past 4 days.

It’s a little tricky to not get paranoid about whether it’s just a run of the mill cold or not these days

I got the flu shot and the booster shot at the pharmacy. Go online and schedule and appointment. If you are immunocomprised you can get a booster shot: that includes obesity, diabetes, being on immuno-suppressing meds like prednesone, HIV, etc. and of course 65 and older should be able to schedule one.

Im a little spaced out/fatigued/nervous about all the stuff…the FDA was about to and CDC were about to recommend boosters to everyone 16+ but Im thinking it may be about liability and conservation of the vaccines. I also read two things- they want to tweak the vaccine and that the Pfizer vaccine protects against all the variants…

I feel exactly like I did when I got the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine. Never had any sore limbs or fever/flue like symptoms. People’s immune systems react differently. Mine when it kicks in is different/it makes me feel more energy because my immune system is hard at work…and locating and learning how to recognize a covid SARs virus and kill/destroy it without harming me or harming healthy cells…

I researched and overall there’s no known danger of getting a third dose of Pfizer that I can find, or that it does anything other than increase anti-bodies…

I also have no history or allergies to anything…the only thing I am allergic to are common diseases…things that would affect most people…so I had my last dose in April, but I really feel like I did the right thing by getting it over with early…a lot of people have died around 8 months who are immocompromised have pre-existing condition…

I typed that up wrong/ 120 of the people who died this year were vaccinated and the rest of the approx 2,300 were unvaxxinated. So 120 breakthrough infections did kill people.

My first shot was Astrazeneca and my second shot was Pfizer so I don’t know what kind of situation I am in, there were some studies a while ago that said the protection from mixing and matching was good but I haven’t heard much in the news about people who mixed and matched since then and how the protection wanes over time. If I do get a booster I am thinking Pfizer if given a choice.

I would pick Pfizer as well. It seems to both have the best protection and last the longest.

I’m not sure where you got the 3 months wearing off though MadPride. I just recently read an article that still had the Pfizer shots at 70 some % effectiveness at 5 to 6 months. Astrazeneca effectiveness went down a little sooner. The shots just dont completely “wear off” suddenly either. They gradually drop in effectiveness from my understanding.

My friend is an ER nurse in the US, and got a booster by requesting it. I signed up for the clinical trial testing the booster given alongside the flu vaccine.
