Years back, I sobered in January in Pennsylvania. When I was nine months sober, I was hitchhiking to Connecticut, and I noticed the dried wild plants by the side of the road weren’t brown, as I had formerly imagined. I mean they were brown, but every one was tinted a little differently with hues of purple or red or orange.
Everyone knows the path of recovery from and an addiction is emotional highs and lows.

Huge congratulations! I’m only just hitting the four months mark of sobriety, so it’s good to know that my gripes will end at some point. I already feel much healthier for it though.
