My Dr wants me on this amount of meds…im still in a bad psychosis my brain just can’t recover from. Is this to much.

i am on low dose of seroquel …!!!

I’m on heavy. Can you function though I can’t in everyday life…i loath waking up each morning to chronic derealization and other symptoms the seroquil puts me out but I’m only used to 400 a night.

I am on 25mg of seroquel along with amisulpide i don’t take amisulpride now …i am strongly feeling that i need to upp my dose soon…!!

Amisulpride was messing with my sleeping pattern …!!! I now need to take anti depressant or anti anxiety to battle my panic Disorder …!!!

I take 400 mg of Seroquel at hour of sleep. That is mandatory, but I’m allowed to prn up to 800 mg per day. I never take it in the daytime because I get too sedated to function.

I take 100mg at night was on 600 couldn’t funtion depressed and anxious hated the strong dose plus take 15mg of zyprexa

I was on 800 mg Seroquel once. I was able to function, but your alertness takes quite a hit from a 400 mg morning dose. It’s a good med. And no, it’s not too much if your symptoms are severe. I’m on 400 mg Seroquel and 10 mg Zyprexa now.

I am on 800 mg of seroquel that I take at bedtime, and it works great for me. I think going from 400mg a day to 800mg is a big jump. I think it would probably be better to go up to 600mg and work up to 800mg if necessary. Anyways, best of luck.

During relapses I used to take 800 mg, makes my mouth really try.
But then when I get stabilized, then we ramp it back down to 400 mg.

Then I was doing so good I got down to 200, 400 prn.
But any lower is subtheraputic for me any way.

I take 50mg twice a day and I tell you what, it makes me so freaking TIRED! And to think my doctor wants to put me up to 200 or 400 soon! I woke up at 4 this morning and took my meds, was back sleeping by 7 and then woke up at 11… I’ll be in bed again at 2 or 3, wake up at 8 or 9 to take meds, sleep til 4… It’s awful.

How long have you been on that dose? The tiredness should dissipate a lot with time. I also find that coffee helps.

I Think it’s easy for a doctor to say take this ned during the day want my advice take seroquel XR before you go to sleep not during the day.

I’ve been on 600mg for a couple years, it works well for me. The tiredness gets better over time. 800 is not a terribly high dose to be honest. I’d opt for the extended release as well, that’s what I take.

From my experience it will get a lot better. Just give it some time.

This medication will put you to sleep but it causes weight gain. I would try something else for psychosis.
