I know a lot of you know that i just got out of the hospital…i was there for 3 weeks and 5 days. Well, while in the hospital, my car just sat there and wasn’t started or plugged in for the colder temperatures. In Alaska, your car has a plug in the front that connects to a battery blanket, oil pan heater, and engine block heater for when it gets below 0 degrees Fahrenheit. Well, my battery froze solid and my car was so dead that i couldn’t unlock it with the key fob. So, today i had my car towed and taken to a repair facility to get it running again…i pick it up on Friday and get to hand over $600. It needed a new battery and the autostart needed reprogramming, and a few other things that drove up the labor costs.
I’m just happy that it wasn’t irreparable damage and that every month i sock away whatever money i have left into an emergency fund. I’ll be able to easily pay the bill, and I’m just thankful they got it running again!

Do you have a garage where you can park it if something like this happens again?

No garage…at my apartment complex you can get a garage but it costs extra and i can’t afford it month to month.
