Quite ill , and insecure.
These days im feeling better and have learned about my illness, and life.
How were you when you joined?

This site saved my bacon.
It gave me the support to stay on meds and I found out about a miracle supplement for me from @firemonkey (L-theanine).
Things would be a lot worse for me if I didn’t find this site.

I think its good that mental health forums or groups on internet exist.
For knowledge and some support.

I joined in 2015. i was living in an apartment i was sane in 4 months and sober a lil maybe. i engaged and met a few cool people. enjoyed it. actually i was above the garage 9in the one bedroom then. drinking and isolating. went north for nine months because of it, recover community. got out a little but didn’t recover. lately i’ve come back a year ago and enjoy reading this. a rock of sanity in an insane world at times though i hardly have been reading. it’s a good connection for a loner with this illness.
keep going folks.

I think it’s been a couple of years for me now, the site has been a God-send for me. When I discovered it, I was just beginning to gain insight and clarity. The site helped solidify my understanding of the illness, and gave me people to talk to who could actually understand a first-hand experience of the illness. I’m extremely grateful for that

I came to the original site back in late 1999. I was totally clueless and thought I was developing multiple personalities. It was here I met people who guided me through psychosis and onto better things. I learned about sz and symptoms and that medications could change for better function.
I still remember my first post. I hung around reading for a while then posted about going back to work. @Jayster responded to me and still have a soft spot for that guy who helped me out when I needed it! It’s been a good place for me and why I continue to come back and contribute.

First interation was. I’m not sure inception but it was going back then. I think like since 1995 or so?
I’m not even sure when this one came around but I think I joined this on opening in 2013 or so. I had quite a few years off for various reasons but came back later.
It was a wild place back in 1999. Not so much moderation and a bit more cowboy in how things were. Had a chat room…that really was a crazy place in the scheme of things but lots of community even back then.
