My in laws are going away on the 23, 24, & 25 of may. My partner is off that weekend.

I thought about adding a lock on our side of the door but we’re not allowed to.
We have no privacy,
Do your in laws have a lock on their side of the door? If so, then maybe consider adding a lock on your side of the door while your in laws are gone.
