Mama Cass was 32 when she died. She died in a bedroom of a heart attack, there were no drugs found in her system. Interestingly enough, four years later Keith Moon died in that same bedroom, also age 32.
It’s an urban legend that Mama Cass died from choking on a chicken sandwich, it’s not true.

People envy the lives of rock stars, but if they died that young they must have been pretty miserable people. I envied the lives of great writers, but they tend to lead short, miserable lives too, not as bad as rock stars, but most of them were very unhappy people.
