Interesting morning.
I get a call from a company I interviewed with in October wanting me to come in Friday for training. Two weeks ago I interviewed for a different job. 20 minutes after I get the call from job A, UPS knocks on the door and delivers a urinalysis form to be completed within 2 days from job B.
I have been waiting on background/reference checks for both.
My roomie works at job A and they are offering $6 more per hour than job B.
Job A is 25 miles away, 4 days a week. Temporary, but in my field.
Job B is 2 miles away and permanent.
I do not have a current drivers license but am very close to getting it back.
I could take a taxi to job B or walk if I had to.
I could drive with roomie to job A, as long as our hours and days coincide. If not, I have a car with legal plates and insurance I could drive.
Decisions.
Job B then, unless you get your license.
Agreed but job A being my field, there is a very good chance of being permanent. I can always go back to job B I may not get another shot at job A. Job A is a career.
Now I just get a call and my pdoc is bumping me to 80mg Latuda after 3 weeks of 40. What is really going on???
It’s the new year. Everybody’s busy busy again.
OK, Job B has me slated to start on the 18th. I’m going to take the pee test (no worries) and start training Friday with job A. They know I’ll be driving with my roomie so I’m gonna reiterate how important that is. If there may be discrepancies, I’ll follow through with job B. If not, I’ll call job B and write them a “thank you for the offer” letter so not to burn bridges.
I’m so freaking HAPPY!!!
Congratulations, seems like good new. I’m happy you’re happy!
Job A training went well today. There was only 1 other person training. I joined him for lunch although I didn’t want to. Glad I did. Monday I’m gonna be surrounded by people. Nervous as hell. I work Mon-Thurs 10hrs/day. Perfect.
