“Dopamine is a neurotransmitter that helps control the brain’s reward and pleasure centers. Dopamine also helps regulate movement and emotional response, and it enables us not only to see rewards, but to take action to move toward them.”
Hey, I had to edit your post slightly. Copying and pasting an entire article violates copyright laws, so I shortened it to an excerpt.
Also, most research suggests that psychosis comes from an excess of dopamine, so I don’t know that taking supplements to raise it is a good idea. As always, ask your doctor before trying any new supplement.

thanks so much for your reply. I know increase dopamine levels is one of the causes of schizophrenia.
I did not find articles about how to reduce it so I posted this article to avoid increasing dopamine levels and wanted to say that on the post.
sorry for bad english
Oh, I understand. It’s a good article
I studied that dopamine theory which can produce schizophrenia was that only a ‘‘theory’’ …
Sz is still a mystry…
in my case since 2010 I am grateful 100% of every breath I take, for my own many reason’s
A mystery
may be but when I asked my doctor about the reason of schizophrenia, he told me increasing dopamine levels. also I know schizophrenia is a result of disturbance in neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine and others. also all schizophrenia medicines I took before, I read on the prescription these medicines reduce dopamine. so i think it has obvious relation between schizophrenia and dopamine
as the brain goes there is a lot more than dopamine and serotonin at play from my studies in the past 17 years on and off
Looks like about 90% of those things would be reccomended for sz. Exercise, healthy diet, not getting addicted, using checklists of small achieveable goals, even some supplements like l-theanine.
Anyway my understanding is that the issues with dopamine in sz is not an issue with dopamine throughout the whole brain, but in parts of it.
That article interested me a lot. I never had a problem about having a too much high dopamine level I think. But I need to take an antipsychotic and it lowers the dopamine. Since I don’t need it to be lowered, it becomes therefore too low. I think this is the reason why I’m feeling emotionless and that I have a low libido.
