I like American modern art even some pop in Australia our Government years ago bought Jackson Pollocks drip painting ‘Blue Poles’ for a humongous amount ATT I think the most for him ATtime there was a huge outcry by our public saying a 5 year old could paint it possibly so but they miss the point it was about redifining art to its purest form non figurative or mark making it was about reinventing art in the modern age Post World War II that New York School of “Abstract Expressionists” were all unique and brilliant I especially liked Hans Hoffman Mark Rothko & George Baziotes Basically there were two or three forms Non Objective, Colour Field & Mark Making or Action Painting here’s my attempt at Abstract Expressionism a tribute Lol
