but you can’t decide what?
id probably go with something i havent had in a long time
Yup, I get that feeling practically every night that my dad doesn’t have something prepared already, like tonight. I have no idea what I’m going to eat. Probably take out since he has not made anything yet. Either that or we will have a “fend for yourself” night where we just eat little stuff out of the fridge and cupboards, like a canned soup or whatever.
@Bowens , maybe you could learn some basic cooking skills and cook the meal sometimes. I’m sure your dad would be very grateful to have nights off sometimes
i’m thinking of getting basil pine nut and cheese tortelini pasta
I actually know how to cook @LilyoftheValley . I lived on my own for most of my life. My dad prefers to do all the cooking. I don’t think he likes me cooking in his kitchen to be honest.
Oh, ok. I’m glad you know how to cook. But I wonder why he doesn’t want to in his kitchen. That’s interesting. I cook dinner for my family, and I love it when my husband decides to make the meal
I don’t know. Control issues? Doesn’t want me making a mess? Doesn’t want me to scratch his pans up? Who knows his logic. All I know is that I have volunteered before and he always declines. I did cook for us when he was in the hospital for awhile though.
That was very thoughtful of you. Well, I hope you find something to eat tonight
If I’m undecided and hungry, I usually go with something familiar. If dining out, maybe a seafood dish and rice. If at home, a pb&j sandwich and milk usually hits the spot. Now I’m hungry, thanks!!
Texas is strange with ice cream. There’s one called coconut creme pie bit sounds gross.
Mocha almond fudge mmmmm.
where do you buy that?
It’s called bluebell ice cream a Texas creamery. I’m not sure what other brands make similar maybe like coffee flavors.
