I think I was at work almost 12 hours? Maybe 12? We cleaned and prepped for the kid’s program and then the community picnic/raffle/ice cream social.
Then we took care of the kids, fed them pizza for the pizza party. By 4pm parents were trickling in to pick up kids and order food for picknic and buy tickets for the raffle.
So many people showed up. It was insane. We had 78 items up for raffle, not including the 19 for the kid’s reading raffle. It was time to do the raffle about 7. We were done with that and had all people gone so we could clean up about 9 pm.
I got home at about 10 pm.
Wild day, but it was so worth it to see the money raised for next year’s program. We raise over 2/3 of next year’s program budget.
I had a rough time of it with all of the people that showed up and wandered around, but pulled through.
I’d burn out so soon after arrival. It’s why I don’t work, a lack of mental energy. I’ve been on a very low dose of zyprexa for a couple of weeks and been all right, it’s almost like being on nothing!
Wow. I am not sure I’d be able to do that long a day but well done @anon4362788. Sounds like it was totally worth it and congrats on the fundraising and getting through a long day.
