I have been taking farxiga for a long time and developed a yeast infection or a bacterial infection on and around my genital area I am embarassed to say it on here but went anyway will tell my male dr about it if it comes up or if he asks if I am still taking it I know those are possible side effects also itching down there so starting tomorrow I will stop taking it and see if these issues clear up on their own if they do clear up I wont have to go to an gynocologist to get treatment for it I would be weirded out going to my family dr and telling him about it Im sure he knows about female issues and problems I would rather talk to a female dr about that

Hi @psychward101, sorry to hear about your infection. I take farxiga too. Have been on in for a while. I take it with a cranberry supplement and haven’t had any infections yet. I was on Ozempic but now you only get prescribed that here with very bad diabetes. I believe you won’t have to see anyone else but your Dr to be prescribed a pill. In Australia you can get them over the counter at the pharmacy. No need to be embarrassed with your dr, he should be trained to deal with the problem or can you see a female Dr maybe. I’ve been on Forxiga for about 15 years for diabetes.
It causes you to pee out sugar. That sugar can build up in the urinary tract which bacteria eat then multiply leading to a urinary track infection.
Your suppose to be constantly drinking while on it so your constantly peeing to flush out the sugar to prevent bacteria growth.
I drink about 5 cups of green tea a day plus various other things.

I hope you are doing much better on Latuda then you did on Zyprexa and that you are sleeping much better now than some years ago Headspark.
Are you still on the little sleeping pill ?

Yeah, I think the brain damage is permanent from olanzapine.
It has improved slightly. I am occasionally able to fall a sleep naturally. But 90% of the time it’s 1,5 mg of clonazepam.
When I first started clonazepam my sleep quality was poor. Now it’s pretty good.
I’m dependent on it now
