Write a little poem thread

I just wrote this and it took me 5 mins, just whatever is in your mind, it doesn’t have to be perfect lol just you

rolling in the deep
half asleep
looking for the drum beat
but i cant hear

i am deaf to the wind
which i cant see
but feel
like the pain i had last night

i feel the wind on my soul
piercing my heart
and it stings
and it brings a thousand nightmares
and scares me out of my mind
so now its time to unwind
and forget all this unwanted brine
that keeps my thoughts tender
preserving my demons in a jar called brain
let this over flow with goodness for a change
i need a break, i’m done.

I wrote this last week

The angels sat and listened
They saw your struggle from the sky
They wanted to stay near
And lend you an ear

Angels fly in the dead of night,
Bringers of glory, Bringers of light,
The sun will rise and the darkness will abate,
The demons will flea as the Angels migrate.

The moon is their haven from where they caress,
Protecting at night, Watching over us.
The demons attack but they do not possess
The powers of God, They just want our blood.

That is why they will never win,
Angels are stronger,
Demons are Sin,
They forever keep trying but cannot succeed
no matter how hard or how much that they plead.

So keep your Angel close to your heart
you will need to be vigilant to make
demons depart.

Don’t let them fester or give them a chance,
They want you to fail so
make a strong stance.

Stand firm and rooted with your Angel nearby
and lets watch these demons
all shrivel and die…

The light went on
as darkness faded out
As the sun began to shine
brighter and brighter again

Darkness hadn’t a chance
against such brightness
They began to see the light
even at night

They kept their angels near
and out went the fear

Something stuck in my head and not finished.

There’s a place that I know
Where all the lost children go
A valley of dreams
Where nothing is as it seems

Sure does! Nice, @Genbu!

Sleepless eyes,
Empty bed,
Late night hour,
Drowsy head.

Computer light,
Fingers text,
People chat,
Online tonight.

Coffee cold,
Room air too,
Bedroom beckons,
Sheets enfold.

Head on pillow,
down to lay,
close my eyes,
sleep so mellow.

a sound and simple gem
i want to chance upon
would put to rest my pen
i would be done anon

but here i lie unhappy
the juices do not flow
my words i chose were sappy
from such good poems do not grow

and so i give two options
for those listening in
give a sideways glance
and say "nice try"
and put to rest this din

tried to use bigger words on this one

as dawn breaks on my trammeled psyche
i begin to wonder about my past
i believe at this point its quite likely
that my psychotic ruminations last

far longer than i wish they would
would that they were a transient thought
however they arent quite so good
great agony and pain theyve wrought

upon my queer and simply thinking
mind for years upon which ive relied
i dread deliberations sinking
into patterns which ive tried

and failed to reconcile altogether
my timid struggle summons laughs
my inner cycles simply cannot weather
the assaults of errors from my past

I like it @Anon10!

5 is ok, with any poem there is always room for improvement,

like in all my time writing poems i have only got one poem that i would say is near a ten, only thing that lets it down is the title,

i think about half of my poems are about a 5
