My computer did not “go to sleep” properly last night. Usually it shuts down automatically after so much time passes. Sometimes it does not however.
When I awoke today there was a web page open to a bing search of some lighthouse or something. I don’t use bing and I did not type in the search items.
I decided to make sure that my “remote access” was off but apparently this version of windows does not even support this function:
I have all the relevant Windows security functions(firewall, virus protections, etc) turned on.
Any advice?
P.S. If I start making posts not in line with my character be aware that I have security concerns currently.
I don’t think so…it appeared to be a web page opened to the bing search engine with a query on a light house typed into the search bar. I wish that I wouldn’t have closed it now. Going to run a virus scan though.
yea sometimes on the sleep screen where u login they will show different screen savers that open a link related to the picture if u click on part of the screen. it seems like a microsoft thing because they try to force the bing and microsoft edge browser
Do you mind if I use your thread to post something related?
I want to reset my laptop and boot a new software. Is there a simple way I can create like a new windows or Ubuntu, Linux, or Oracle and then boot it at startup?
I dont remember all the ways to do it. How do I get to the boot drive at startup? Windows 11 is too complicated. I Have a 2 terrabyte USB so I am going to upload the software from there once I do this from an ISO image I think? Then I got the software for that…
Im also trying to secure my computer from hacking and for privacy.
If it was a red and white striped lighthouse thats bodie island lighthouse and microsoft features it on their homepage. clicking the link will open a bing search to it
