I am best friends with a set of twin brothers…one is doing fine with his family of three girls and the other is a horrible alcoholic and has been getting into a lot of trouble lately. He just recently wrecked his truck while intoxicated and the other twin brother had to pick him up from spending a nigh in jail and take him to the impound. Bob, (the alchoholic) just posted on facebook that he doesn’t plan on slowing down…I didn’t know what to say so I said nothing…it’s like I’m helpless…I thought this last bit of trouble would straighten him out…worried.

I’m sorry your friend is going through such a tough time.
Unfortunately for a lot of people they have to be ones who want to get help.
Have you confronted your friend with how you’re concerned about his drinking?
I know for me, in my past when I started hearing a lot of people tell me they thought I “had a problem with alcohol,” it kinda opened up some doors in my mind that I should probably seek help.
I’m sorry if my advice is lame. But I sincerely hope your friend is able to get help.
