Every job I have had since getting out of the military has been a lot harder and way more stressful on my brain. Does anyone know of easier jobs that pay ok that people enjoy?..I didn’t like working at a grocery store. I do Door Dash and it is pretty good but have to spend a lot of money on gas. I was wondering peoples thoughts on this and if they like their jobs.
I wish there were just jobs. Particularly for those without experience. I can’t get hired for anything.
Well, my janitor job is pretty low on the totem pole of success but I’ve been there 7 years and it’s usually twice as easy as any other job I’ve had. I did more physical work in one day unloading trucks at Sear’s than I do at my janitor job in a month. It’s really easy, time goes fast, and it pays $16.00 an hour.
it really depends on what you consider hard.
some people consider a desk job hard because they prefer to be outside.
I work in a hospital. My bosses decided to change my position to a much harder one and without contact with people. Now I’ve been on leave since then. They considered that my job was not doing well.My pdoc are waiting for me to be put in a position adapted to my disability. My bosses know my illness and discriminated against me.
My experience is working in a warehouse is typically low stress i.e. no customer interactions, low micro management if you do a god job and usually you can listen to music depending on the rules.
I do administration 3 half days a week in a small business. I’m also on disability.
What did you do in the military? Is there a comparable job outside?
Cleaning, kitchens, just look for part time Jobs.
I really like sales. There are industries where you can work mostly from home and don’t have quotas. I like it because I can take down time when I need but commissions pay well.
Edit: no quota means no stress to make a sale.
Easiest I found is video games tester. You just play video games all day and then report bugs you find, I just copy/pasted what others wrote and replaced their bugs with mine.
Another easy job is small gym manager, I just open lights, stereo system, welcome clients and note who was present. I occasionally talk with clients about life, exercise, machines, etc
I did my university homeworks most of the time there while being paid 28$/h lol
I wish I could work now, that was b4 schizophrenia.
I worked the customer service side of the warehouse…I worked in the warehouse too but really enjoyed it working the customer service side…I ordered Airplane parts and just made sure they got to the base on time.
I wish they’d just throw money at me for doing whatever I want. Whatever I want being playing with my cameras, radio station, and espresso maker.
My role isn’t front-facing with the customer in terms of sales, so I have no number targets. That being said, I wind up doing a lot of up-selling when I discover insufficient coverages while reviewing client dec pages. I’m good at explaining the need for a coverage and I would never push something that is a rip for the client. I also help them identify excess or unneeded coverages. I like the being able to help people part of the job.
I wouldn’t mind custodial work ( proper name) for $16 an hour. I looked into school jobs and they are great. Low stress. Maybe if I improve someday.
Computer programming is my dream job. Pays good too.
Why don’t you do that then? I worked in supply when I was in the Navy.
Thank you for your service.
property maintenance was fairly easy for me. physically demanding but mentally pretty simple. learn a process , repeat process. enjoy the varied properties. listen to music
Thank you for you service too…
Sometimes I think its harder to get jobs like that on the outside too though and doubt it would be as fun…we actually had fun at our job. I always tell people if you can get through boot camp and training in the military then your job can actually be pretty fun.
