he had congestive heart failure and was coughing up blood and fluids from lungs and having trouble breathing, they gave him oxygen, we cant afford to keep him in the er overnight to continue receiving oxygen and treatments so they are going to give him meds and send him home and hope for the best that he can breathe well without the oxygen. they said there is an 80% chance he wont make it another day so hopefully the meds will change that but if he gets worse again we will most likely have to have him euthanized just so he will not suffer
Good luck pooch.
God Bless your furbaby. I’m so sorry.
I hope he pulls through. Wishing the best for you, your dog and your family.
I’m sorry @cigarino . I hope your dog can recover.
Oh no!! I’m so sorry. It’s such a hard thing, having a sick pet, and possibly losing one. I am sending you all my best.
I’m sorry @cigarino
God bless
I’m sorry your dog isn’t doing well @cigarino Your dog looks so sweet in that photo.
Oh no! I’m so sorry! How awful. I’m so sorry you’re going through this
Sending love to you and your dog
Good luck pup, and feel better soon
we got him home, he drank some water but doesnt want to eat, i tried to give him his heart meds by putting it between two slices of banana but he didnt eat it, my mom took the pill out and was able to get him to swallow it.
his breathing is slightly better when he’s resting but when he gets up he starts to have more coughing fits. the way he is now he seems he will be ok as lomh as it doesnt get worse and he continues to rest, we are taking him to the vet again later in the day
we are most likely going to have him put to sleep today. his breathing is getting worse again and he cant eat anything, he hasnt eaten in almost 3 days. i dont want him to go painfully due to starving or breathing continually getting worse to where he cant get any oxygen, his gums are getting slightly purplish from oxygen decreasing. we are spending our last bit of time with him but it hurts to see him suffer
Am damn sorry to hear this. You’re making the hardest, but best decision in having him euthanized. Sometimes mercy is the most compassionate thing to do. Just be with him as he passes on - let him know he’s not alone going into eternal oblivion.
Damnit, I’m choking up. The worst part of having a dog is saying the inevitable goodbye. They’re too good for this world.
I’m so sorry. That’s just awful. Hugs!
To echo @anon40540444 , you are doing the kindest, most compassionate thing you can do. And I think our animals know that. It’s so hard. The only problem with having pets is that they just don’t live long enough.
poor dogs why’d they have to die so young
My bestie Pup is recently departed, it was heart breaking
