Will tell you my housing problem which has stressed me so much

I rent privately in an old flat. I am round the back, off the Main Street. Until recently my mail was delivered to a post box on the Main Street.

Recently I got a bit paranoid that my mail was being intercepted so I emailed the Royal Mail asking them to deliver direct to my door. This is a bit problematic as you have to go through a neighbours garden to get to my door (although there is a legal right os access).

Anyway got an email back saying my address wasn’t on the national post code register (zip code). This was a shock to me. I have become convinced I won’t be able to receive mail.

If I can’t receive mail my benefits will be stopped and I will be made homeless. Now this is the worst case possibility. Hopefully they will be able to resume dropping off my mail to the mailbox on the street.

Thing is this shouldn’t be my problem. I am renting. My landlord should take care of post code register problem but he is just awful.

I can’t see why they wouldn’t continue to post it at the usual place if this is what they have been doing don’t worry yourself

You’ll still be able to receive your letters. Postcodes are just a “nice to have”
