Why do you like your Pdoc?

I like my pdoc, he’s very empathic and a good person. He is with me on the war against my symptoms.

My old pdoc was a total douche and gets a 3 out of 10. My new NP gets about a 6 so far. I have only seen her once. My tdoc gets an 8 but he can’t prescribe. No real luck so far with pdocs. I can’t change again for a year so I am stuck with this chick for awhile.

I think my pdoc is great. Has been completely accurate since my initial visit, is always generally available for (free) phone cosultations with my wife when i am really bad, makes room in his schedule if need be, and because i dont have insurance currently he supplies me with almost all my meds giving me the samples he has on hand. He is very no nonsense kind of person and very blunt, but that may be his culture he is an indian immigrant. He yelled at me once when i stopped taking meds and didnt see him for about 6 months saying his patients are his patients and will not tolerate me coming in when i feel like it. He has been very cooperative in adjusting my meds over the past 2 years and continues to until we hopefully get it right. He is my first pdoc and i am glad i havent had to experience the horrors some others have had to otherwise i would be in a totally different place right now. He always spends extra time when needed with patients so my only complaint is waiting to be seen since he is rarely running on schedule. 5 out of 5.

I can’t stand mine. She’s so condescending but I need her

Mine is okay. Better yet because I’m on a low income, the government pays for my sessions not me. I don’t get charged a cent. Most pdocs around here are about $180 per half hour. I see mine for 20 mins and pay $0… winning!

I don’t like mine. I live in the country so pdocs are scarce. They only care for the money. Wanna move somewhere.

After I went catatonic he helped me get better and now I’m doing really good on my medications. I still hear voices but I can cope with them a lot better.

I don’t. After thirty-five years of having various psychiatrists I can honestly say that this is the first one I’ve had that I really dislike. He thinks everything is a big joke. He’s an ass. If Hitler reincarnated himself and came back as a psychiatrist, I would rather see him, than this guy I’m seeing now.

Zank you zoe much!!

Don’t mention it, Adolph. You earned it.

My pdoc only sees me about five or ten minutes once a month. We do have a friendly relationship, though. I showed him a story I wrote, and he liked it. I would show him some more stories I wrote, but I am sure he is too busy to take the time to do that.

I got rid of my pdoc because he was an a$$hole. I now have a NP whom I like only marginally better. No luck over here. I like my tdoc though, and I see him more often, so I’ll live.
