Why do we have to spend so much money to look this stupid? A mom jeans rant

It occurred to me that I need to get some winter clothes for the holidays as I’ll be in a different climate.

Where I am in California the weather really doesn’t change, so I don’t have a lot of sweaters and jeans, stuff for cold.

Yesterday I went to a popular retailer (online) and had to get some stuff.

Sweaters, flannel and such,

Yes!

Very good options, Black Friday prices.

I was born in 1985.

I know what a real mom jean looks like and I’m not buying that ■■■■.

But now it’s all they have!!

Mom jeans in all sorts of mom colors.

Mom jeans with tapered legs, mom jeans with wide legs.

Mom jeans, mom jeans, mom jeans.

Even something literally called “The Classic Mom Jean”.

Something is seriously wrong with the youth today.

I was forced to buy these jeans, more than one, and they better look freaking awesome.

I know they won’t because I saw them on my mother’s ass for most my life,

Hoping they’ve made improvements.

I can’t believe I gave so much money for something I could have just kept in a closet since 1994.

Something not even cute or flattering!

It is pretty funny. The style has gone from low cut dolce and gabanna jeans or mavi to now the mom jeans of the 80s

Those high cut jeans look miserable. Almost claustrophobic in a sense. Maybe in a few decades the high cut will be up to your neck.
