Why did my phone take this weird picture?

I’ll admit to having a bad day and experiencing some positives.

But I was looking at my phone,

Didn’t even have the camera open,

And it took a picture of me.

It’s done similar things before, but this picture isn’t just a blur like those.

It’s weird.

A friend told me it was just out of focus.

But I’m worried.

I’m not afraid of my phone watching me as much as other things.

I don’t have any odd settings or filters on my phone.

Do you have an iPhone or Android?

Android.

I have had some weird occurrences with my phone too….

Like 1 time on my Instagram there was a super unattractive selfie photo of me on my profile…. But the picture wasn’t in my photo library or anything AND it wasn’t the most recent post… it was like a few photos in on my profile…

This was a few years back. I try not to think about it but it still has me very confused.

No,

That is actually what I’m afraid of.

It doesn’t bother me that you said it,

But I wouldn’t joke on other people’s threads like that.

My grandma used to wear bright pink lipstick like that.

I was wearing purple lipstick when this picture happened.

Creeps me out because of that weird stuff that happened at the super California meditation thing I went to.

Can you find out which apps have access to your camera? You might have to Google how to do this for your particular make/model.

I think that spontaneous photo is acting like the rorschach test for you, that’s all.

It’s just a glitchy photo.

Hey there. I get worried like that sometimes. But I genuinely think you needn’t worry, and your friend is right. Cameras sometimes do weird things when they are out of focus etc. I think you are being more associative than you need be now, with the lipstick.

Do not worry. Do something that calms you down. In my case, if I’m like that, I need to sleep. If needed by knocking myself out with strong herbal tea or a PRN. But I don’t know what works for you.

It is trying to focus and work with the light and shadow

@shutterbug could explain better

Try not to worry @Charles_Foster
There’s a logical reason for this.
Your phones camera wasn’t focused.
It was a glitch

  1. It’s a focusing, exposure, and processing issue caused by high-contrast lighting. This screws up the software on most phones.

  2. The selfie camera is also a piece of shite on most phones. All of the money goes into the “good” good cameras on the back of the unit. The selfie camera is last year’s tech purchased for pennies on the dollar so the image quality suffers.
