do you remember the stories from your childhood? do you still think about them? I see them every time I look at the stars and moon/ they like, not from this world.
I enjoy the old fables that use animals to illustrate and teach morals. Some of them are quite surreal, and some are simply terrifying.
Also Greek mythology.
oh yes! the old beloved Greek mythology…my favorite school class.
Yes, I can’t forget Robin Hood, Robinson Caruso, Gullivers Travels and Treasure Island.
But I also read Aesops Fables, Arabian Nights and Grimms Fairy Tales. Or how about Paul Bunyon, Pinnochio, Pecos Bill, and John Henry.
I don’t know if all those count as legends but they were mighty popular.
I remember reading Tolkien and Wuthering Heights and history novels for kids, but not really Greek myths or fables or so.
The book i remember best was a simple book my mum had to read to me over and over and over and over. It wasnt very literature-like or a legend. It was about little birds almost losing their parents. I cried every time. I was afraid every time. Always at the same sentence. Luckily all were reunited. I was very little still. It was just the book i remember best, because i liked it to be repeated endlessly.
