I bought 12 bitcoin when they were valued $400. Early 2014. But I lost them when the website was hacked and all bitcoins stolen. I should be rich now :crying_cat_face:

I do not know much about bitcoin or other crypto currencies. Normal fiat currencies do not increase in value as bitcoin has done. Somehow I think that bitcoin is not a real currency.

i never invested in it. but i remember reading about in bitcoin, god it must have been 10 or so years ago, from reason magazine, i even told my friend about it. i was taking economic classes at the time and was interested in the idea of currency competition and decentralized currencies. i was also reading about past historic ‘wildcat banks’ that would print their own currencies. i was also working at the time so if i put my money where my mouth was i could have been potentially rich… but im not a techie or anything, so who knows if my bitcoin would have been hacked. i definitely would have sold all mine at $1000 dollars a coin had i invested in it, and laughed my way to the bank. i don’t think you could legally trade in it until a couple years ago so it would have been a long wait.

I was in the hospital with a guy who claimed to have helped to invent Bitcoin. He didn’t.

Actually, I made this thread because google bothers me with ads about bitcoin…

In the last few days, these bitcoin stories have gone to my head a bit. Many times i have imagined investing in bitcoin at the beginning.
In short, a bit like you who participate in this discussion thread.
I’m not very drawn to money, but you can do a lot with it.
You can even change your life.
Personally, my life is about okay now, I am not rich but I have managed to create a balance in my life.

I didnt but i remember people talking about it on the forums i go to. At the time i was in my own little mmo world and didnt care about what was being said. I didnt think itd turn into something so big but you live and learn.
