i have no kids, just a lizard, i am in a lesbian relationship, i refuse to have children since there is too high of a chance that they could inherit my illness. my partner can’t have children because of some kind of disorder involving her ovaries, usually people “you could adopt”. who’s going to give a kid to lesbians one of which has sza?

I’m about to! I have my first doctors appointment tomorrow morning to see exactly how far along I am, but I’m guessing my fiancé and I have about 8 months until we become first time parents

I have two amazing kids, I had them before I got sick. If I knew that I was going to get schizophrenia I would not have had them. I live in constant fear they they will inherit this disease. My four year old is already behaving like I used to be when I was her age. The only hope I have is that by the time they get sick, there will be better medication to treat them, hopefully even a cure.

We encourage people to avoid posting personal info and personal pics. We get a LOT of requests from people to remove their pics after they’re posted. Whether you post a pic or not is up to you. We DO remove people’s names and addresses from their posts to protect their privacy.

Have to agree with pixel on this, I worked hard to get pic’s offline, people may not say anything to you, but sadly in our world there are those that work behind the scenes thinking it’s their job to warn or go to work attacking you just because you have a mental illness.
I can vouch for this. I had a cyberstalking incident that arose out of my participation in these forums about five years ago. I was dealing with an abusive teacher in our school and she was in hot water. She googled me and found my name posted here. Tried to use my posting here to discredit me. Backfired on her and her friend who helped rather horribly.
