Which anti psychotic is best for the heart/for physical energy?

Hello mates.
I am experiencing a horrible decline in my physical energy.
After sleeping about 13 hours I am still very tired and want to lie down again.
This is totally unacceptable.
I am on olanzapine 10 mg and I must switch to a different antipsychotic if I am to survive long term.

my doc had told me that invega gives energy and that’s why it should be taken in the morning.
I tried it but didn’t see any change.

the more you sleep the more tired you feel.
it’s a vicious circle.

@Om_Sadasiva I feel bad due to the antipsychotic, this is what causes the steep physical decline.
I used to be in excellent physical shape.

I know. it’s a side effect I guess. you can try another AP

Abilify is pretty good I think for this

Well not sure about the heart but doesn’t make me drowsy at all.

Abilify is a good one, I didn’t like Olanzapine when I was on it.

Vraylar doesn’t make me tired. I still sleep a lot but this is due to sz

Olanzapine did that to me too. It also made me crave sugar. I gained 60 lbs. in 120 days while on it. Olanzapine can cause diabetes. It controls your symptoms, but at a very high price.

Physical Energy?
How about Abilify … I don’t think that Vraylar is readily available in Israel just yet.

I’m on abilify and it doesn’t make me drowsy. Remember 10mg is the theraputic dose of abilify !

None they will all kill you.

Abilify gave me so much energy. It made me manic though. If it doesn’t it’s a good choice

Like some others here I also had no drowsiness or energy problems when I was on aripiprazole

Abilify is the most likely too. Although I haven’t noticed more energy from it yet (1-2 weeks on proper dose atm). I also hear that even though it makes you need more sleep, clozapine apparently helps with negative symptoms like energy and motivation and such, atleast thats what my old pdoc said.

I’d worry more about getting akathisia or even dystonia. They are way more serious - all EPS that is.
