Next year I am planning to do a lot of short travels in Europe, depending on the money I did not make yet.
In August I was checking 4 nights in Amsterdam and London and also Berlin and Ibiza but one thing I noticed which was weird.
The hotels looked horrible and very old.
I could not find a hotel in Ibiza which was nice. In the end, I checked the hotels from best rated list and best location to pick one but we did not go anywhere.
I have not been in Europe at all. Only several different airports. Switzerland, Heathrow, and Paris…
The hotels in Europe are a lot different than the US, and most of them are not as fancy as what you might be used to. That is true for most countries I’ve been to. Look on Air BNB for some cute rooms. I’ve been to Italy, Amsterdam, Belgium, and England. I stayed in hostels most of the time, because they’re much cheaper, but if you’re traveling with your boyfriend, you might want your own room.
I spent two years in Germany while I was in the army. I saw Munich, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, London, Paris, and Rome. I probably would have enjoyed my stay in Germany more if I hadn’t been trying to drink all the beer in that country.
I spent a lot of time in Germany, we had a second office there with my 1st husband.
I’ve got my passport stamped numerous times in Netherlands, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Italy, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Sweden, Denmark, England.
havee been in London, Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, Milano, Budapest, Wien and few other small cities. I like the most Spanish cities and the northern Italy. Germany and France are beatifull too @mermaid1 . The hotels look old at the outside, inside they are very nice an cozy as far as I know…It looks that way because they were built a long time ago. Many europeans consider that fancy.
When I was young and healthy I traveled a lot, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Andorra, of course Finland, Gibraltar, Norway, Vatican, Europe has many old castles that you can visit, hotels are different depending on a country … now I have been in Eastern Finland … winter is here already. … I forgot the Soviet Union, I have never been in Russia. I forgot Greece too, I was there 31 years ago.
I’ve never been outside the U.S., don’t even have a passport. Hell, I’ve never even been to Canada, despite being from Michigan where I could have driven there in less than two hours. I’m boring, I know, but certainly don’t have money to fly to Europe. Sigh …
