When should I get an eye test

The prescription on my currant glasses is old and out of date. The strain this puts on my eyes means at the end of the day I can’t read my phone or book.

I could get an eye test arranged pretty soon but next month I have my pdoc appointment and he could possibly change my meds screwing up my vision.

Pulse I have bloods in a few weeks. I might get started on metformin then which I read can further blur vision.

I would like a nice pair of glasses for this Xmas but I kinda think I should wait a couple of months

I’d do it now but that is me. I wouldn’t be able to stand headaches and eye strain. I’d get the cheapest pair possible with big dorky cheap frames. Lol. I need to set an eye appointment for myself the end of December.
