I have wondered this also. I have come up with the theory it holds a little gps tracker so the coach can see how many km they have run and when to sub them. Rugby players have this

weird. my guess was that it prevents nipples chaffing on the jerseys and don’t want a whole undershirt to prevent getting too heated when running around

It is Zlatan Ibrahimovic. I think he plays soccer in the the USA because he is getting older. He was one of the best players in the world at one point.
