I volunteer places that give out 20 dollar gift cards

if my housing renewal doesn’t like I wasn’t on a pay roll, well go screw 'em!

I found a place that auctions off government furniture for like 20 bucks apiece. I’d load them up in my truck and bring them home shine them up and sell them on craigslist for 200 bucks apiece. The auctions stopped a few years ago though, so I don’t get extra income anymore. It was bookcases mostly.

ohh yeah. Phil does swap sites.

He bought from our neighbo’s estate that died.

And he bought a boat motor from a guy, turned around a 500 dollar profit.

I got 2x 100 euro gift cards for volunteering that i didnt report. Never thought of it, actually. The people handing them out said “it is only a very small amount, but…”. I was shocked - small? I bought my son winter clothes and myself kitchen stuff. So happy!

I also babysitted in a far past.

I used to do computer repairs for some money under the table. I wasn’t making enough to owe taxes so it’s not a huge deal.

It’s hard over here when your on a pension. You either work full time or not at all the way it’s all set up. Even if I could work a little it would take too much off the pension to make the work redundant. I just volunteer and am quite happy with it all. It would be nice to have some cash though! :slight_smile:

Plenty of charities and sporting clubs need help with things. Volunteering is a good way to have something to do without the stress of a job or career. I help out at the cricket club. It’s just me and the groundsman and I help do all the mowing and general duties.

you know for us guys , we get lawn care jobs or fix it jobs, alot of the time women get stuff at garage sales and resales them, i got a window clean job doing a old store down town.
