Mine was 1370/ 2400.
eighteen seventy no study
twenty fifty, then twenty ten
twentythird percentile state in math on the first one
had a ten essay in there, an eight and a nine
also
got the math raw up, did the whole practice book in preparation for the marathon over a number of months
still scored maybe fifty-sixtieth percentile, then maybe maxed out okay…cant rememember
its fun, collegeboards got a monopoly on standardized tests for college, they do good work
theres twelve practice tests and you do one every weekend
Mine was 1320/1600. Thought about taking it again to see if I can get a higher score, but I knew I wasn’t going to study. Lol if I took it again, I’d probably get a lower score.
I got an 800 in Math and a 648 in English. I took those tests in about 1966. I thought the numbers showed some hope for me.
I think that was extremely high in 1966. And, it was different from today. It was considered more like a general intelligence test, right?
Didn’t take the SAT, but my ACT was a 29/36. Only took it twice.
I got 1870/2400 or 1400/1600. I wasn’t thrilled with it, but to be fair, I was battling a brain tumor at the time and didn’t take it very seriously. I didn’t think I would live long enough for college to matter.
1420/1600. 1515151515
Well, I was still bummed out. Everyone thought I would do much better. I was the weird genius kid in school.
Well even bummed out you did a lot better than most people.
The original SATs were out of 1600. Then it changed to 2400. Not sure if it changed back
800+800=1600 then 800+800+800=2400
They had Aptitude and Achievement scores. I thought the thing was suspect, but it was necessary to seriously apply to colleges.
In Queensland, Australia, we had the OP score where 1 is the best and I think 25 is the worst. I got a 3 which means I think I scored in the top 5% of the state. I was smarter back then, but no so much now.
Don’t remember but I got a 25 on the ACT. That’s the one they used here. I did take the SAT too though. Been too long ago.
I don’t recall the numbers but I was a National Merit Scholarship winner as were two of my classmates. There were many in our class who did very well. I had a 98%.
@PinCushion Oh, good for you! I had a letter of Commendation from National Merit Scholarship.
Your high score just proved to me what they say, “Some very intelligent people get schizophrenia.”
After age sixteen…felt like I was slipping behind academically as well as with people skills.
My stuff didn’t line up, If that means anything from a developmental standpoint.
I got a composite 27 with a weird spread…
22 science
24 math
30 english
33 reading.
…opened it once and didn’t really care about the ACT. I may have gotten a perfect essay score…can’t remember.
…It was a new section…
My high school’s average score among students was a 27.
For me there was too much math…and the new science section was impossible for me.
I took that test at age 17.
I think that was when I felt most in control up top!
People were like, “here he comes, hide the women!”
I squeezed everything out for the act!
So it was never all that special but I tryed hard to be average, and then it went away (my ability to control my thoughts some).
After that first psych break I had more pressing challenges. Heh heh.
At that point, it didn’t matter if it was all gone…after all…its a brain thing…
You get confused and stuff, and think people are trying to getcha.
(actually think hs avg was a 25…still high)
