What type of computer and smartphone do you use?

@Yellowdiamond I have bought Macs in the past, but never new. I would not pay full price. Ebay is great for 2nd hand Macs. There are so many issues with the current MacBooks, though. Keyboard and screen issues, especially. I’m happy with a Windows machine too. Windows 10 is a vast improvement over 8.1.

But i never use my pc anymore, phone has taken over…but some things i prefer doing on pc though.

@insidemind I love Linux too. Very flexible and configurable. My favourite is the current version of Ubuntu with the Gnome UI. Very nice.

@parallelmind Do you have “Linux on DEX” installed on your Galaxy Note 9?

Too many computers to list them all. Primary laptop is a 15" Alienware I found at the recycling centre. It’s fairly peppy, has 16 GB of RAM. Only cost me $4 to fix it. Primary workstation is a Dell Precision with dual octacore Xeon CPUs and 32 GB of RAM. Got it used. It boots Win 10 in under 3 seconds and renders video like a hot damn. Squirrel FM runs on a collection of off-lease hardware I got on the cheap. Phone is a Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge.

@anon35453467 I just connect the phone to my TV with a USB-C to HDMI cable and it automatically brings up the DEX interface on the screen. It’s fantastic. :nerd_face:

I don’t have Linux installed, though. Although, I suppose Android is built on top of Linux.

I can also have a secondary screen connected with a mouse & keyboard using a USB-C hub with my Mate 20 Pro. But what I am asking is “Linux on DEX” (Ubuntu 16) installed above the DEX O/S.

@Yellowdiamond Me too!

I hate it and I’m never buying another Samsung. Going back to Sony if I can. My Xperia Z3 was the best phone I’ve ever owned, and that includes my iPhone 4S, which I loved back in the day.

@Yellowdiamond Good point! Some of these TVs have quad-core processors. I love the fact that I can watch YouTube on my TV. :eyeglasses:

@anon82948922 I had a Sony Xperia too. It was fantastic for everything, especially the camera.

@Yellowdiamond The only thing I don’t like about tech is talking to devices. Sorry, I just refuse to have a conversation with my microwave.

I love samsung but the video and camera suck now. Not sure why. My next phone will be 5 g .
